Recognition

Sustainers Society at Joseph Slifka Center

Joseph Slifka Center’s most generous donors are eligible for recognition in our sustainers society. Gifts of $1,000 to our Annual Campaign are recognized in our annual calendar. Those who commit to at least 5 years of gifts at the $5,000 level are designated a Harkness Haver and receive a limited edition silver spicebox designed by artist Joshua Marrow as part of the Yale Judaica Collection. Donors who make a new gift of at least $50,000 (payable as a five-year pledge) will be inscribed in Jerusalem stone on the Sustainers Wall at the entrance of the building.

A menu of funding priorities will be made available soon; however, Slifka Center will always work with you to establish appropriate recognition that both suits donor needs and has lasting impact on the institution.

Named Endowments

Through the generosity of our founders and sustainers, Joseph Slifka Center has an endowment that provides annual funding for both specific programming and general operations. Joseph Slifka Center is fortunate to receive investment services through Yale, as part of our affiliation/partnership with the University. Yale will also issue campaign and reunion credit for gifts made to the Slifka Center Endowment.

Gifts of any size may be made to Joseph Slifka Center’s Unrestricted Endowment, allowing Yale to acknowledge your gift and ensuring support in perpetuity for the ongoing operations that support Jewish Life at Yale. If you are considering a gift of $25,000 or more, and would like to discuss options for establishing a new restricted endowment fund at Joseph Slifka Center, please contact Director of Development, Shana Katz Ross by phone at (203) 432-4084 or by email at shana.ross (at) yale.edu

Named endowments can commemorate a special event or honor an individual, or establish a fitting tribute to a loved one whose blessed memory should be shared with our community.

Opportunities include:

A list of existing named endowments will be available shortly.
