Art

Slifka Center is dedicated to the Arts as an essential part of human expression, and through a multifaceted arts program seeks to help artists develop their Jewish voice, and to encourage Jews to explore their artistic voice.

Slifka Center’s permanent collection includes works by Chagall, Joshua Marrow, Nikki de Saint Phalle, and Mindy Weisel. The building itself is an award-winning structure by Hal Roth. Coming soon – a virtual tour of Slifka’s permanent collection.

This year, Slifka Center’s first Artist-in-Residence, Ilana Lapid ‘99, a filmmaker and poet, is active on campus, teaching, organizing exhibits and lectures, and inviting students and community members to witness her own artistic process.
